River or Reservoir

God's love, we hear about it all the time but do we really see it? I was on a conference call on yesterday about a man who has a real problem and seven men who are willing to allow God to express His great love through them. It may be time that they have been assigned by God to carry someone who can't make it on their own.

Galatians 6:1
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Galatians 6:2
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Galatians 6:3
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. What is the "law of Christ" you may ask? Could it be love one another as Christ has loved us?

Romans 13:8
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. The Lord took time out of His schedule to come to where you and I were so that we might go to where He is. I was impressed as these men told me of what they were willing to do for another whom they loved. It will be a great sacrifice in all their lives but they see a diamond in the rough and are willing to polish it and make it useable for the Master. These men will learn what it means to offer themselves lovingly and wholeheartedly to a hurting person, teaching him the Love of Christ and then leaving him completely in God's hands, and especially when they're not with him anymore. These men will face crucial moments when they must choose between gearing up and giving up. To make it through those times, they must rely on the rock of discipline, not the shifting sand of emotion. When it is all said and done these men will have become a river, not a reservoir. My prayers will be with this team of men for they have a great task ahead of them. I heard a man say not long ago you can sit around and talk about God's love or you can go out and show God's love. What will we do? Will we Speak or Sit; Talk or Take God's love to hurting people? How many diamonds are we willing to dig out? How many will you come in contact with this weekend? There may be one in your Church others have overlooked, don't let them get by you. See you Monday and have a great and Godly weekend.
