Enough

If asked the question "how much_______ is enough" you fill in the blank. I wonder how many would say "money?" We are living in a day when many have lost their jobs which brought in income to support their life style but now nothing is coming in at all. Everyone has had to cut back and if the blank was money how much is enough? John D. Rockefeller is often regarded as the richest person in history. Bill Gate comes in as number 6 on the list, just to give you an idea of his wealth. When Mr. Rockefeller was asked the question "how much money is enough?" He answered "just a little bit more." You may be thinking I would be happy with_____. Now I want you to change the way you think; compared with a homeless person on the street, you're relatively wealthy. Do you have a warm home, (I mean a cool home with the AC going) some food in the fridge and comfortable clothes? Do you feel rich? Do you feel thankful, and blessed? Whatever we've looked for in our life, there never seems to be enough of it to satisfy a restless heart. King Solomon the richest man of his time had this to say

Ecclesiastes 1:9
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

Wealth alone doesn't guarantee happiness, for if happiness is found in wealth then how long will it be before you are happy? If happiness is not found in wealth how can one ever be happy? If we are not careful we can build our whole lives around money. Now I will agree we need money and we need retirement but there is more to life than that. Too many dads and moms build a career instead of a family. What's the use of having lots of money with no one to spend it on but yourself? Happiness is found in our Wife, Children, and the Lord just to name three. Here is why I am happy

Colossians
2:10
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Complete! How does one become complete, by being wealthy? No, we are complete in Jesus Christ! Nothing completes like Him, knowing we are forgiven, knowing we are in His family

John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Now no matter what comes our way we are ready

Romans 8:38
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Romans 8:39
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We are complete in Jesus Christ and that my friend is enough!
