Protection

Like I said on yesterday, I want you to see in all this just how much God loves His children. We saw first a prayer answered and God had a plan. Then it was God’s Power, today I want you to see God’s protection and presence. Their prayer had been answered and they’re on their way; it was a time to enjoy their new found freedom. Then it happened Pharaoh changed his mind and decided to go bring the Israelites back
Exodus 14:5….   Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?
Exodus 14:6  And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him: Here is where Pharaoh made a fatal mistake. Off he goes with his chariots and soldiers to bring back the Israelites, but he and his men would never return.
Exodus 14:10  And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.
Exodus 14:11  And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
Exodus 14:12  Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. After all they had seen of how God had protected then now for some reason they think they’re all on their own. Israel now finds themselves in a place that is hopeless and from a human standpoint it is. Mountains on both sides of them, the Red Sea blocking their way in front of them Pharaoh and his great army coming up behind them. God takes what’s impossible to man and shows them that nothing is impossible with God. God opens up the Red Sea
Exodus 14:21  And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.  Israel enters in on dry ground and right behind them goes Pharaoh and his army.
Exodus 14:23  And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. Not a good plan as it began to get light God had plans for Pharaoh and his men.
Exodus 14:24  And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,
Exodus 14:25  And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians. Now all of a sudden it wasn’t about bringing Israel back it was save our necks. It was too late they had gone too far.
Exodus 14:26  And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. Here’s what I want you to see; not one time do we ever see God not caring and providing for His children. No matter what they said or did God never left them but protected them with His power and His presence. Do you not think He’ll do the same for you and I?
Hebrews 13:5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Our heavenly Father knows how we feel and where we are at all times.  You and I must trust Him with all our heart.
