Enter In

Tomorrow we will celebrate a day of Thanksgiving. A day with the family more than likely and that is something to be thankful about. Some will huddle around the T.V. watching football while others will take off into the woods to spend some time hunting. Others will just sit around talking with each other while enjoying each others company. How ever you choose to spend the day don’t forget to have a thankful heart. We have talked about making a joyful noise and serving the Lord with gladness. Today I want to finish up with Thanksgiving. When we know that the Lord is God and that He was the one who made us then we can enter into His presence with Thanksgiving. That Thanksgiving will bring on praise and the praise will cause us to be thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ which should cause us to bless His name. Why? For the Lord is good. His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.
Reading Psalms 100 let it overwhelm you; don’t you see just how blessed we are; and you thought no one cared?
Psalms 100:1   Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.  (Doesn’t say you have to have the talent to sing and have the voice of an angel but the noise was to be made joyful and that joy was to be directed to The Lord.)
Psalms 100:2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. (There is gladness in serving the Lord)
Psalms 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. (There is real Joy in knowing the Lord)
Psalms 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Why should we bless the Lord’s name? Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Psalms 100:5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
The Lord is good therefore we should praise Him. The Lord’s mercy is everlasting, another good reason to praise Him. His truth, well, truth never changes, it is good to every generation. The one before us the one behind us and the ones between those; it’s just another good reason to give the Lord Praise. Take time to look around you this Thanksgiving and see just how thankful you really are.
