👷‍♂️I’m asking each of you to work this Saturday.🧹

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time. Thomas A. Edison

Now after we have made a joyful noise unto the LORD we read.

Psalms 100:2 (KJV) Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Now after we have made a joyful noise unto the LORD

  • We read the word “Serve”

To work for; to bestow the labor and mind in the employment of another. Then we read who we are to serve “the LORD .”

Have you ever had a boss or person over you that you enjoyed working for? If he or she gathered everyone and said “I hate to ask you this because I don’t want to do it myself. I need each of you to work this Saturday. You really didn’t want to but because you like your boss you did it and you did it with gladness.

  • Here we read “Serve the LORD with gladness:

Serving the Lord not only brings joy it brings “gladness: pleasure of mind; cheerfulness.

King Solomon was that type of  King. One day the Queen of Sheba came to see for herself. This is what she had to say.

1 Kings 10:7 (KJV) Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.

1 Kings 10:8 (KJV) Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.

Are we Making a Joyful noise because we are serving the King of Glory with Gladness? Now this Joyful noise in verse one becomes singing when we come before His Presence in verse two.

A servant! Servants don't say “ Don’t you know who I am?” That my friend is not a servant's attitude and there is no joy or gladness in that statement. Let’s look at Jesus for a minute. The Son of God what did he do?

Philippians 2:7 (KJV) But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Reputation: Paul said Philippians 3:3-8

Jesus Christ didn’t come to make a Reputation for Himself. Oh no Jesus Himself tell us why He came,

Luke 19:10 (KJV) For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Jesus Christ came to be a servant.

Jesus Christ the Son of God washed feet.

John 13:5 (KJV) After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

You know what Jesus was doing? Giving us an example of serving with gladness. When we understand, when we become the servant and learn that we are to love one another.

John 13:34 (KJV) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

We MAKE a joyful noise because we know we are His children.

We SERVE the LORD with gladness because we know we are in His Family.

James 4:10 (KJV) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Matthew 23:12 (KJV) And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
