😳Do You Have A Friend👩‍🦽🚶🏻‍♂️

Psalms 124:8 (KJV) Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Sidewalk verse for the day

Colossians 1:20 (KJV) And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

I’m interested in the word “reconcile” Webster says this  “to call back into union and friendship the affections which have been alienated; to restore to friendship or favor after estrangement

I understand that in this world you and I live in that it’s hard to believe that there is a God who really cares let alone loves us or loves all people. Like the man who lives in the woods behind Kroger, the one that, for lack of a better word, smells awful? Even the young lady that sells her body to get drugs and has lost her children. No she is not living behind Kroger she has a better place under the bridge at Old Farm rd in Valley Heights. Yes, God loves them too. God’s purpose is to bring all to Christ Jesus, even people like you and I like the man that told “we don’t want THOSE kind of people coming to our Church.” How can this be possible? By “reconcile” how? “having made peace through the blood of his cross” It’s not about who we are, how clean we are, or how good we are. I spend 8 to 10 hours a month riding with Police officers and I have seen a lot of things. I guess some of these people we took to jail are called bad or worthless. But not in the eyes of God they just need one thing, to be reconcile; a restored friendship. If they were reconciled what do I think would happen? Things would change because friends help each other and as the song says

What a friend we have in Jesus, Can we find a friend so faithful, Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness; In His arms He'll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there What a friend we have in Jesus take it to Lord in prayer” It matters not who you are nor what you have done or even thought. What really matters is what you haven’t done and that’s realizing who your real friend is. Who is that real friend? The one who went onto the battlefield of life and died bring you to safety; Jesus Christ. Is that not a real Friend?
