🚙Doing a Drive By Why I Didn’t Even Wave🖐️

Colossians 1:21 (KJV) And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

And you separated from God. The evil things you were doing showed your hostile attitude toward the God who loves you so much.

Colossians 1:22 (KJV) In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

And you who Christ has brought back to God by dying in his physical body. He did this so that you could come into God's presence without sin, fault, or blame. When we read further we see that we need to continue in the faith. Remember what faith is. Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance(something real, not imaginary; something solid, not empty) of things hoped for(confidence in a future event)

 the evidence (to show in such a manner that the mind can apprehend the truth) of things not seen.

Why do we need to continue in the faith?

John 8:31 (KJV) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

John 8:32 (KJV) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

This is the same principle we read in

Colossians 1:23 (KJV) If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

If you continue in the faith. The problem with many is that they see themselves in need of a savior. God deals with their heart and they ask the Lord to save them. After their salvation they fail to continue in the faith that they had trusted in. They didn’t search the scriptures daily, not even once a week. By doing this they fail to learn anything about the Lord Jesus. They aren’t settled, they aren’t  grounded therefore they are moved away from the gospel. The only way to learn, or know, or grow is to continue. Fail to do this and you will fail to know the Lord your God. When I was 17 I met a young lady on a horse ride. We rode our horses with a group of others, I don’t remember how many but it was a large group. Anyways as I was riding I saw this young lady and we started talking. At the end of a 3 day ride I knew a lot about her but I failed to get a phone number or her address; boy that was dumb. Well after I got back I was telling my friends all about her. Then one of my friends spoke up, I know her and I know where she lives. Great I said and got the street name. He didn’t know the house number but I didn’t care I would find her house and I did. Here was the problem. I did drive by her house many times but I never went to her house to talk with her. I knew her name, I knew a little bit about her, I knew where she lived but I didn’t know her. Why? Because I didn’t continue, all I did was drive by her house. Could this be the reason many fail to know who Jesus Christ really is?
