Foolish

Here in chapter 14 of Proverbs we find the word "FOOLISH" mention 5 times. More than any other chapter in the book of Proverbs. If I were to say that I have made some foolish choices in life I think everyone who knows me would agree. The word foolish means ➡ Void of understanding or sound judgment; weak in intellect; applied to general character, unwise; imprudent; acting without judgment or discretion in particular things.⬅
The first time we see the word "FOOLISH" is in Proverbs 9:6 Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. We are told to forsake the foolish or in other words forsake those who are unwise, imprudent, acting without judgement or discretion. Then we are told what to do "go in the way of understanding.” We are not just told to forsake but we are also told what to do after we forsake.
In chapter 14 we are given 5 things to keep us from being or acting foolish.
#⃣1⃣ it's building not tearing down
Proverbs 14:1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.
#⃣2⃣ it's words of protection not prideful talk
Proverbs 14:3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them.
#⃣3⃣ it's leaving the present when you perceive no knowledge
Proverbs 14:7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.
#⃣4⃣  it's knowing when to depart not being over confident, angry and dealing with a matter wrongfully
Proverbs 14:17 He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.
#⃣5⃣ it's knowing what your wealth's is for the stupidity of fools is just that stupidity!
 Proverbs 14:24 The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly.
Oh today is Valentine's Day so don't do something foolish! Here’s a helpful hint. A sweetheart chosen or complimented on Valentine's Day a gift or greeting sent or given especially to a sweetheart on Valentine's Day!

Ambassador

Proverbs 13:3 He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.

Watch what you say, think before you talk.

Proverbs 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.

I am interested in that word "AMBASSADOR." It meaning is ➡ a diplomatic agent of the highest rank accredited to a foreign government or sovereign as the resident representative of his or her own government or sovereign or appointed for a special and often temporary diplomatic assignment.⬅ Hello, is that not the child of God? Are we not a resident and representative appointed for a special assignment; telling those around us and the ones we come in contract with about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His ability to save sinners! Is that not good news from a far country?

Proverbs 13:17 A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.

Here we see a wicked messenger falling into an action that annoys or irritates. But then there is that Christian who speaks of the land of which he or she  are representing; heaven and of the government there; one ruler Jesus. This ambassador speaks highly of this land in which he or she will soon be leaving for. We have the choice of what we speak. We can have words that are fitly spoken for mischief or fitly spoken of heaven and the ruling king Jesus. It's our choice?

1- v-1 False Balance
2- v-2 Pride
3- v-3 Perverseness destroys
4- v-4 Riches profit not
5- v-5 The wicked fall by their own wickedness.
6- v-6 Transgressors taken in their own naughtiness
7- v-7 wicked man dies

9- v-7 his hope perisheth.
▶The Righteous: V-8 the Righteous delivered out of trouble.

2- v-2 with the lowly is wisdom
3- v-3 integrity shall guide them
4- v-4 righteous delivereth from death
5- v-5 righteous shall direct his way
6- v-6 righteousness shall deliver them
7- v-8 righteous is delivered out of trouble.
Proverbs 11:10  When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.
Proverbs 11:11 By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.
It may appear in this day we live that those who are doing wrong are having the time of their life. We may feel that doing the right thing and living for The Lord at times is not worth it. When feeling that way I must remind myself that doing right may not have feelings but doing wrong will always bring feelings of sorrow, shame and guilt. Doing right is always right and it always pleases The Lord; do right at all times!

The saddest words of tongue or pen are these four words - it might have been.

Sowing

Proverbs 6:12 A naughty person, a wicked man, walketh with a froward mouth.
Verse 12 describes
#⃣1⃣ A Naughty Person
Naughty ➡ without profit, worthlessness; by extension destruction, wickedness, evil, ungodl⬅
#⃣2⃣ A Wicked Man
Wicked ➡ evil, false, idol, iniquity, mischief, mourners (-ing), naught, sorrow, unjust, unrighteous, vain, vanity,⬅
#⃣3⃣ A Forward Mouth
Forward ➡  In advance of something else; old, violent.⬅
A person that is worthless and ungodly, a person that is vain in his walk with a mouth that is bold as well as violent. With boldness in his heart he schemes mischief with a twisted mind continually sowing contention, disagreement and anger.
Do I find myself talking about things that are worthlessly? Do I spread what I have heard others say not knowing the truth behind what I heard? Could this be classified as gossip? Do I recall something that has happened in the past or have I chosen not to recall and relive this act or actions of the past? It's easy not to see my faults; it’s also easy to point out the faults of others. Am I quick to condemn others for their actions while over looking my actions which are the same! Could this be sowing discord? Do I really want to take the chance of something that God has plainly said He hates? I must watch what and how I say things as well as be careful where I allow my steps to take me for others are listening and watching.
Proverbs 6:14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
The Lord says that He hates such an action.
Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him
Proverbs 6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Galatains 6:7  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Watch Out Someone Knows

The warning is set, stay clear of the strange woman.
Proverbs 5:3 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil
Proverbs 5:4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword.
It is impossible to hid our thoughts and actions. There is no camouflaging, The Lord knows.
Proverbs 5:21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord , and he pondereth all his goings.
The concept of this whole chapter is staying away from the strange woman and her talk. Even listening to her talk is dangerous and our action is to remove thyself far away from her.
Proverbs 5:8 Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
Something to think about:
▶1⃣ Our Ways
The ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord both good and bad.
▶2⃣ Our Wife
He who cleaves to his wife shuns the harlot.
Proverbs 5:18 Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.
Proverbs 5:19 Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.
Hebrews 13:4    Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

If Thou Will

  Proverbs 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
Yesterday the question was "How Long." Today the question is "If Thou Will." My dad always said "if a frog had wings he wouldn't skin his rearend." That word "if" means condition, stipulations
Examples:
If it rains, (then) we won't go to the park.
If he actually did commit the crime, he deserves to be punished.
If you believe that, you'll believe anything!
"If Thou Will" do what? Receive; if it rains we won't go to the park. The answer   in going to the park was in the rain. The answer to the son is first receive Gods words for without doing that first none of the other things will happen. There will be no commandments  hid, no wisdom applied to the heart to understand. No knowledge to cry after. No lifted voice for understanding. No seeking like for a hidden treasure. No understanding The fear of The Lord. It all starts with if you will receive Gods word!
Proverbs 2:2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
Proverbs 2:3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
Proverbs 2:4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Proverbs 2:5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord , and find the knowledge of God.
To many in this day and time have their salvation based on some dream, an angel they think they saw, on the way they feel and many other wild idea or in something they did or experienced. The first step is in receiving what God has plainly told us in His Word. My salvation foundation is not in some dream I may or may not have had. Nor is it in what I've done or how I feel; oh no it has its roots in and from Gods word simply because I first received Gods word. If one is going to Heaven they must receive God at His Word!

It's That Simple

 Proverbs 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Simple ➡ Weak in intellect; not wise; silly.⬅
Simplicity ➡ The state of being not complex; ⬅
Scorners ➡ In Scripture, one who scoffs at religion, its ordinances and teachers, and who makes a mock of sin and the judgments and threatenings of God against sinners. ⬅
The question "How long" you that are weak in being intelligent love staying that way? How long will you that make light of religion and it's ordinances and its teachers? How long will you make light of sin and the judgment of God to come? How long will you delight in your foolishness?
Proverbs 1:23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.
I The Lord will give you the opportunity to turn and I am willing to pour out my Spirit unto you and make known my Words to you.
Proverbs 1:24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
I have called and you refused; I have reached out my hand and you paid it no attention. My counsel fail on deaf ears.
Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Reprobate ➡ Abandoned in sin; lost to virtue or grace.⬅
It was all just a simple matter all that was needed to know wisdom and to perceive the words of understanding was to just hear.
Proverbs 1:5-A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
