If Thou Will

  Proverbs 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
Yesterday the question was "How Long." Today the question is "If Thou Will." My dad always said "if a frog had wings he wouldn't skin his rearend." That word "if" means condition, stipulations
Examples:
If it rains, (then) we won't go to the park.
If he actually did commit the crime, he deserves to be punished.
If you believe that, you'll believe anything!
"If Thou Will" do what? Receive; if it rains we won't go to the park. The answer   in going to the park was in the rain. The answer to the son is first receive Gods words for without doing that first none of the other things will happen. There will be no commandments  hid, no wisdom applied to the heart to understand. No knowledge to cry after. No lifted voice for understanding. No seeking like for a hidden treasure. No understanding The fear of The Lord. It all starts with if you will receive Gods word!
Proverbs 2:2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
Proverbs 2:3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
Proverbs 2:4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Proverbs 2:5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord , and find the knowledge of God.
To many in this day and time have their salvation based on some dream, an angel they think they saw, on the way they feel and many other wild idea or in something they did or experienced. The first step is in receiving what God has plainly told us in His Word. My salvation foundation is not in some dream I may or may not have had. Nor is it in what I've done or how I feel; oh no it has its roots in and from Gods word simply because I first received Gods word. If one is going to Heaven they must receive God at His Word!
