Thankful

Colossians 3:15    And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Colossians 3:16    Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Colossians 3:17    And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
When I was a boy my mom and dad taught me to say thank you. When someone would do something nice for me I would say "thank you." I am grateful to my parents for teaching me to be thankful. In the verses before us I see three things to be thankful for.
#1- We are to let the peace of God rule in our heart and be thankful.
#2- We are to let the word of Christ dwell in us richly. Allowing God’s Word to dwell in us richly we will have a merry and grateful heart that shows by our thankful songs.
#3- We are to show our thankfulness in what we say and do.
Make a decision to focus today on what is rather than what isn't; what you have rather than what you don't have. Focus on what God has been doing in your life.
If we have Christ we are rich therefore be thankful.
Romans 10:12    For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
