Customs are hard to break. Let’s say that a vote came up for Christmas to be celebrated on May the 25 instead of December. The reason many have trouble getting to their families homes because of weather and sickness. The vote passes and now Christmas is May 25 ๐ฑDo you think some would still celebrate Christmas on December 25? Sure they would. Why? Customs are hard to change.
Hebrews 9:13 (KJV) For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
If the blood of bulls, goats and the ashes of and heifers paid our sin debt then there would have been no need for Jesus Christ to have died. So it’s hard for a custom that has been going on for hundreds of years to just stop. So the people in that time continued doing what they had been doing and missed what really happened. It would be like us changing Christmas. Even today we still want to do something other than what the Bible teaches. Then somehow put some Bible verses with it making it sound or read like God had blessed it. Salvation is not difficult but we can make it difficult with religion. How simple is it? Are you a sinner? ๐คYes the Bible says “For all have sinned!” The Bible says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that anyone that believes on Him will not perish but have eternal life.” Romans 10:9 (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. That’s it! If you really believed and trust Jesus Christ there will be a change in your life. So why make it harder than it is? Look at the dying thief and what Jesus said to him. Today you will be with me in paradise. He did nothing but trust what Jesus said. Don’t argue the Bible and miss the gift of eternal life.
