East πŸ‘‰πŸΏ West Removed

More examples of faith, those who believed in and placed their trust in God.

Hebrews 11:7 (KJV) By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

Many times we  can be warned of things that are dangerous. Being warned is not keeping one from danger it’s just cautioning about danger; “Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet” Didn’t we read something similar in verse one?

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I thought so. Now Faith Is; things not seen as yet.

God warns Noah. To be warned you have to be within hearing distance. How does faith come?

Romans 10:17 (KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

John 17:17 (KJV) Sanctify (To separate, set apart)

them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Noah had Faith because he listened to God. We all know about Noah or I would hope so. Noah was a man who listened to what God said; what did God say?

Genesis 6:13 (KJV) And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Noah being warned of things to come. What was coming?

Genesis 6:17 (KJV) And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

What was Noah to do?  Genesis 6:14 (KJV) Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. Noah is warned and asked by God to build an ark because there is a flood coming. So what did Noah do? “moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house” Did Noah believe God? He sure did; how do I know? He moved with fear! Fear tells me Noah believed God. He didn’t say “God I can’t do that, I know nothing about building an ark of that size, I’m just not capable.” Oh no, we are told that he MOVED. This proved Noah’s faith, but there was another reason Noah moved “to the saving of his house” Not only did Noah understand that there was danger coming but also understood that his family needed to be on that ark when it sailed. So Noah moved, preparing for something he had never seen, rain! Oh, read about Noah, you can do so by turning to Genesis Chapter 6 beginning at verse 9 until Chapter 8. Noah is a real hero of the faith. But if you read Genesis chapter 9 you’ll see Noah in a light much different. You see, God not only shows us the good and heroic side but God also shows us the dark side. Why is that? Well I think God wants all to see just because you have great faith doesn’t mean you won’t fall. Our failures always hurt other people and mostly those we love the most. I had a good preacher friend  and his faith was amazing. He went to a Church that had a membership of very few and in just a short time God used him and the membership went to about 400. But then that Pastor somehow let himself get into a compromising position with a lady within his church that cost him his leadership position. Oh my 😱sin takes its toll on the best of us. But our Heavenly Father doesn’t disown us because of what we do or have done. If salvation is based on performance we are all in trouble. God our Heavenly Father gets disappointed but He never kicks us out of the family. Did God get disappointed in Noah? I would say so. But when you read about Noah in Hebrews you read that he was a man of great faith not a man who let wine get the best of him. There’s no mention of that. Why? Because God loved Noah. Know what? God loves us too! What happened to the sin?

Psalms 103:12 (KJV) As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
