Our job title is not Savior. We are to help, not save. We are not able to run this world we live in. We haven’t a clue where to begin let alone be in charge; we are here to help and I think we are to help people. When I say that I don’t mean always with money. Sometimes that’s the easy thing to do. It could be as simple as cutting my Next Door neighbor’s grass, dropping off a meal, saying a kind word. Listen Power is an awful addiction and just like every other addiction there’s never enough. Now God has the power and He knows how to use it and it isn’t foolishness.

GLORY

Is that what we want Applauses? The spot light shining on us.  Applause, standing ovations, pats on the back, at a boys, do we want the Glory? Watch out standing at the top of your game you will lose your balance and fall. Set a record and somebody who wants what you’ve got will break it. Now you have another record to break, but you can’t, time and age won’t let you. It’s best we learn that our Father in Heaven has the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory not us. 

If I Could Ask God For One Thing What Would It Be?

Well what would it be? More money? Another big bonus? Recognition as the number one ________ of the year for 10 years in a row? What would it be? Let me change the wording a bit. If I could ask God I DESIRE? What would it be? King David ask that question in Psalms 27:4 (KJV) One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

David wasn’t asking the Lord if it would be alright for him to drop by occasionally for coffee. Oh no David said “One thing have I desired of the LORD” what’s that David? “that I may dwell in the house of the LORD ” DWELL??  Move In? How long were you planning on staying? “all the days of my life” Oh my for what purpose? “to behold the beauty of the LORD” Goodness gracious, David is there more? Well I would also like to enquire in His Temple? “and to enquire in his temple.”  I don’t know what that means but I would say if you don’t enjoy going to the House of the Lord now all I can say is that you better hope the Lord changes your outlook. I had this thought about the temple. What if it’s like a huge tent? Every morning, afternoon and evening there’s preaching ⛪️and singing 🎶 going on. Who’s preaching in the morning someone might ask? Another would say Moses in the morning and in the afternoon Abraham will be preaching and Sara will be singing. Now, for sure you do not want to miss the evening service. Daniel will be preaching but before that The Hebrew boys are going to give testimony of the fiery furnace. Then back in the morning with Joshua preaching and Rahab will give her testimony of what great things God has done. May I say and the heroes of the faith just keep on coming. 

Back to David and his desire and what a desire it was. Yes David the man who stumbled, faltered and failed, more than once had this desire to dwell in the House of the Lord all the days of his life. I wonder, is that anything close to what I would ask? This one thing do I desire is????????
