🚣‍♂️We Are All In The Same Boat ⛴️

Give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe.

                                    “OUR

  • Our Father
  • Our Bread
  • Our Debts
  • Our Debtors

Matthew 6:11 (KJV) Give us this day our daily bread.

In Need of Bread?

As you and I drive down the roads and highways the sight of someone holding a sign saying various things “I’m hungry” “I’m homeless” and you and I would call that Begging. Are we begging God when we say Give us our daily bread? Is that not what the man or woman are doing holding up their sign? Give me so I can feed myself.

We may think we are not but if we stop for a moment and think we may be beggar’s ourselves.

  • Did we make the seed that
  • produces the plant that
  • produced the food source?
  • Did we provide the right conditions?

We harvested the food we didn’t make from the earth we didn’t create.

From time to time I will give to those standing holding a sign. One day I stopped and gave a young man and his wife some cash. This man reminded me of a lot of others I see who eat what they didn’t create. They do so without saying THANKS. GOD doesn’t provide, to hear us say thanks.  I want to say thanks because He does provide. For without God loving me so much I would starve and the least I can do is say Thank You, I call that a blessing. Say your blessing before you eat.

  • We have a special needs grandson.

He can't talk but we have taught him to bow his head. He will hold his hand together and put them to his chin and as we thank God for our food he says in his own words that God can only understand Thanks.

AND, there’s more Lord:

Matthew 6:12 (KJV) And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And forgive us”  there is not one of us that hasn’t

  • done,
  • said,
  • looked,
  • imagined,
  • thought,
  • went,

or in other words  made MISTAKES. We have let our TEMPTATIONS take us to places we wish we had never gone.

  • Romans 14:10 (KJV) But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
  • Romans 14:13 (KJV) Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

Oh how easy that is to do Judge. There are those who we just don’t like, oh they haven’t really done anything, we just don’t like them.

  • Their pants are too low,
  • why don't they shave for crying out loud, don't they ever look into a mirror?
  • Oh my what’s that odor?

Oh we are so right and God is so pleased with us but this bum has to go. No God had Grace when He

  • looked at you and me
  • when He smelled you and me
  • when He heard our language
  • when He read our thoughts

He still had Grace. Are we not to show the same type of Grace toward others? Did we not ask God to “forgive us”

  • Ephesians 4:32 (KJV) And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
