πŸ•Š️Truth Leads to Freedom. ⛓️‍πŸ’₯

Live not in conformity with this world for Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.

We are told that there are many ways to freedom. Question? Is that really true? Is there Freedom in Self Help? You or I may be able to fix many things ourselves like a computer, our car, replacing plumbing fixtures, and many more but all we can do is visit a person in jail. The same is true with a person in bondage.

  • Improving our Self-esteem

will make us appear different but it doesn’t change us or give us Freedom. No more than painting the pump will purify the water.  What we need is a real change if we believe in ourselves that is only short term. I can’t count the times I said if I get out of this mess you will never have to worry about me ever doing it again. I meant what I said at the time but in just a short time I was back doing what I said I would never do.

One can never change who they are themselves. That is why Self help or Self Esteem fail. It takes more. Wouldn’t it be great if we could just have a new start? How many times have we said things like if I could go back to High School I would do things differently? The only problem with that is that’s not going to happen. Know why? Because there is no reserve in life. A word spoken can never be returned. A lie can never be made into the truth. We need a new way because we can’t change ourselves.

2 Peter 2:22 (KJV) But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. The dog and the sow return to what they were. That’s our problem. We were born sinners and that’s who we are. Self improvement will only work for a short time then it’s right back to our sin nurture. When one realizes they can’t unlock the prison door by themselves, they just can’t, not by ourselves we can’t.  Ask yourself what do you want? A mask? Do you want to be a hypocrite? A player on the stage of life? Or do you want more? A real difference?

James 4:6 (KJV) But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

James 4:8 (KJV) Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

James 4:10 (KJV) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

God wants us to humble ourselves and admit we need help.

  • A new Life

How is this Possible? Have you ever said “if I could go back and relive my life and know what I know now things would be different. πŸ™‹‍♂️What if I told you that question had been asked and answered? In the book of John the fourth book in the New Testament. Read what a man named Nicodemus asked Jesus.

John 3:4 (KJV)  Nicodemus saith unto him,(Jesus)

How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Nicodemus asked Jesus how can a man be born the second time? That, for sure would get you and I out of bondage wouldn’t it? Is there an answer to this question, how?

John 3:5 (KJV) Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

John 3:6 (KJV) That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 3:7 (KJV) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

There it is, the answer and the possibility of a person being born again, made new. That means a new start with the knowledge one has now. Oh my πŸ€—a real chance of getting out of bondage a new start.  John 3:6 (KJV) That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Being borned of the Spirit changes everything. Oh becoming a Church goer? Oh no that’s not what I read; Marvel not that I said unto you, Ye must now go to Church. Oh I see I must give up everything, all my friends and the things I love doing. No, neither did I read that. Read what Paul wrote, yes Paul a man who was well on his way to becoming SOMEBODY. He wrote this

Romans 7:19 (KJV) For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. I’m not doing the good I want to do. Instead, I do evil.

Hello, I’m guilty my intentions were never to destroy my life by saying that or doing this. The man who wrote most of the New Testament was just like you and I. He came from a background similar to ours; oh no I have never killed anyone. That’s not the point God changed Paul, Paul didn’t change Paul and neither will you change yourself. He that is born of the flesh will follow the flesh and do good and bad things. Now once that person is born again God will use him or her to do good and maybe even great things. You see that request for starting over with the knowledge you have now will change you; that’s what you wanted wasn’t It?

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

So it is possible to start over!
