Bad Choice

I am afraid the things we think are so important aren't all that important if we were to look at them in a different light! It was a nice dark and creamy chocolate with ice cream with whipped cream and a cherry on top. They knew it was a dessert that had more calories than one wanted to count and as much as they wanted it they let it pass. What would it have really mattered for they were on a cruise on a ship named the Titanic and in a few hours it would be more than their figure that they would be concerned about. My grand dad was coming to hear me preach he said to just let him know. I did many times before he died and he never was able to make it. We cram so much into our lives and we let things go that are so important to others thinking we will catch them another time and we just never seem to have the time. If I were to ask you if you could only make one phone call this next year who would you call and what would you say? So what are you waiting on make that call today. The man in the book of Luke made a bad choice one day; see what you think!

Luk 18:18
And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

Luk 18:20
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

Luk 18:21
And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

Luk 18:22
Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Luk 18:23
And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
The man just wanted to know how to have eternal life and he thought he had it until Jesus said you just lack one thing. He told him to just do that one thing and you'll have it. Sell and give away all you have and you'll have treasures in heaven; but he couldn't for he was VERY RICH. Let me ask you a question "is his riches doing him any good now?" Bad choice on his part! What was more important that day what he had or what he could have had? How about you? Are you really that busy? Important; concerned; do you have riches or treasures?
